Artist' artwork/info

Victoria Broeckel's Bio:Vicki was born and raised on a farm in the hear of wheat country near Dusty, Washington. Growing up in the midst of rural activity, she married a neighbor boy and forty years later, the family still resides on the century homestead.
The region has an ever changing palette and Vicki gathers much of her inspiration along the quiet winding back-roads of Whitman County. Mostly self taught, she became interested in oil media when she enrolled in a color mixing class in 1970. Since then, she has gone on to teach art classes through the Spokane Falls Community College Continuing Education Program in Whitman, Asotin, and Garfield Counties. Vicki has exhibited her work at numerous venues including the Western Art Show, the Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC), Spokane Allied Arts and the Northwest Fine Arts Expositions.
Living close to the land, Vicki's art is inspired by her life and her surroundings. Her paintings invite and encourage the viewer to experience and appreciate the beauty of the Palouse Country. |
